Henry indicates, the essence of flocculants outside its defeat garrulous among them, that is the current situation of road building industry. First Henry gives us some typical examples of fraud and abuse within and outside government. Recently, in North Carolina, an executive road paving company guilty to charges of conspiracy to defraud the US Transportation department and also conspiracy to laundry money. This case involves thirty-seven federal construction contractors.
Serpico, the New York City cop who couldn’t be bought by nobody. Serpico is a book that tells a story about a cop that works in New York, that wouldn’t take any brides from anybody and who had to deal with a very corrupt police department. There was a big gambling problem going on in New York and there was nothing being done about it so Serpico being such an honest cop decided he would try to get rid of the problem. In the following book report over Serpico, by Peter Maas, I will summarize the book’s contents and give my thoughts over the book.

When Randy goes to jail, Jamal is offered the leadership role with his friend Tito by his side. Will he be up for the challenge. The book 5.41, Randy Turner and John Hacker, is a story of a great devastation that hit the town of Joplin, Missouri on the 22nd of May 2011, where humanity saw the destructive tornado that hit their town, and people lost a large number of townspeople. It was the place of a great amount of people who survived the most catastrophic tornado they had seen in their lifetime. The President of the United States, the Governor of Missouri, a Catholic priest and a Methodist minister gave speeches to the people of Joplin after the tornado was struck about a week later, and what did they need to hear from them that people of Joplin had to strive to help their neighbours b looking out to each other, they had to have faith in themselves that were strong
In “Chapter 5” Irene Hunt discusses how Lonnie bonds more with the boys during their trip. He talks to Josh about finding a job with Pete Harris. Josh and Joey appreciate the assurance and confidence tat Lonnie gave them as he talk with them. However, Josh plans to pay Lonnie back for taking care of him and Joey, without getting or wanting anything in return. During their ride, they begin to talk about Josh’s relationship with his father.
Plot Summary The book and the film The Sweet Hereafter by Russell Banks is different from other stories as it tells the story by having flashbacks while it explains the situation in the present. The Sweet Hereafter is about an accident that had taken place in 1997 in the town Sam Dent. There was a man named Billy Ansel who would always follow the bus in his truck because his daughter and son were on the bus. He was calling Risa who also has a son on the bus to discuss what time they could meet later that night to make love.

McGuire’s At the Dark End of the Street, “an important, original contribution to civil rights historiography”, discusses the topic of rape and sexual assault towards African American women, and how this played a major role in causing the civil rights movement (Dailey 491). Chapter by chapter, another person's story is told, from the rape of Recy Taylor to the court case of Joan Little, while including the significance of Rosa Parks and various organizations in fighting for the victims of unjust brutality. The sole purpose of creating this novel was to discuss a topic no other historian has discussed before, because according to McGuire they have all been skipping over a topic that would change the view of the civil rights movement.
During the 1980s, space exploration was a popular topic to watch, listen to, and learn about in American life. NASA had already sent a lot of missions to space, all reaching new milestones and increasing interest in space exploration. The Challenger, however, had a different mission than the rest. It was going to carry the first teacher, Christa McAuliffe, into space where she would teach two lessons. There were six other men and women on board the Challenger.
The book starts with Thomas and the other teenagers known as "the Gladers," who had escaped from an experiment known as The Maze in the previous book, sleeping in the dormitory they were brought to by a group of rescuers. Thomas is woken by a telepathic communication with Teresa, the only female Glader, who is afraid. As he wakes up, he finds that the facility is being attacked by Cranks, aggressive zombie-like people that have been affected by a plague known as "the Flare." He and other Gladers escape into the facility's common area and discover that their rescuers are dead. They also find that Teresa is missing from her room, and in her place is a boy named Aris Jones.

Summary: Wessels discusses the idea of coevolution in nature and economic surroundings in this chapter. In nature he has observed that several species develop niches, which allow them to adapt to other species living in the same habitat and allow the ecosystem as a whole to thrive. Subsequently he discusses the factors that influence the level of biodiversity present in an ecosystem. The three main factors he claims are: a stable physical environment, the amount of physical structure present and the competition level present. He then applies the same characteristics and theories to the economic segment.
Award winning writer, George Orwell, in his dystopian novel, 1984, Winston and O’Brien debate the nature of reality. Winston and O’Brien’s purpose is to persuade each other to believe their own beliefs of truth and reality. They adopt an aggressive tone in order to convey their beliefs about what is real is true. In George Orwell’s 1984, Winston and O’Brien use a variety of different rhetorical strategies and appeals such as parallel structure, pathos, and logos in order to persuade each other about the validity of memories and doublethink; however, each character’s argument contains flaw in logic. Winston debates with O’Brien that truth and reality are individual and connected to our memories.
