Sheridan Baker’s essay about writing a thesis simplifies what some deem a difficult task. I learned most theses are too vague. We do not reduce the topic enough. That is why choosing a central idea can take up more time than needed, but Baker explains ways to get the idea quickly and organize it efficiently. I recently learned the importance of narrowing down the topic before researching it. It is hard to organize too much information and make a distinct case.
