In the story “A Rose for Emily” by William Faulkner uses history to tell his stories. This story is when not everyone was treated equally and there were tons of racism. In this story it tell how Emily lived and some events that went on. Some were even how people reacted to certain thing she would do. But Emily was never to be recon with; the town people were scared of her. Faulkner uses the plot, symbols and characterization to explain events and how Emily handled them.
