Australia has one of the worst rates in the World for Homelessness. We are the third highest in the globe. While students are studying, and employers are being employed, there are homeless people on the streets. Today I will talk about how young Australians can change their view on Homeless people and how we can create change in our society. I will outline my speech to show how young Australians should be informed of this rising crisis. My evidence is access to public housing is limited, job opportunities can be rare for homeless people and discrimination towards homeless people.

I wouldn’t. I remember a quote called: “Never judge a book by its cover.” But everyone does it. At least more than ten times in their lifetime. Although I cannot say anything as I too, make fake assumptions without knowing the person. I do believe the public can do way better to stop guessing or outlining a homeless person's life, just by looking at them. Why are fake assumptions foolish? These statements can ruin the reputation of homeless people. As their reputation is crumbling before now. One statement is “People choose to be homeless”. No. There are many ways they convert to homelessness. Abuse. Mental Health. Loss of Family. Accidental Substance Use. Tick. Secondly, “People experiencing homelessness are lazy.” Wrong. People who are homeless are always searching for necessities, shelter and more every day. Due to this, they do not have an option for laziness. Tick. Lastly, “All people who experience homelessness are addicts”. Again no, many factors contribute to homelessness. Also, there is just a minuscule percentage of the homeless group that are addicts. Last tick. Each tick should have taught you how discrimination towards homeless people is not fine. Don’t, do not and make sure to not differentiate homeless people from others without being informed of who they were
