A Thousand Splendid Suns is an excellent fiction novel written by Khaled Hossenini. The book is recorded around two female protagonists; Mariam and Laila and how their lives eventually overlie one another. The book consists of four sections that focus on the lives of the individual characters. Part one is fixated on the life of Mariam, part two is concentrated on Laila, and part three is focused on how their completely different lives intertwined and how they established a close relationship with one another. Lastly, part four is in relation to how Laila and Tariq – who Laila considered one of her best male friends throughout childhood and growing up, rebuild their relationship after many years apart regardless of the dramatic and tragic life …show more content…

The two eventually become romantic despite of the social boundaries and rules between men and women in the Afghan society.
