Though she is elated at her son’s return, she quickly gathers herself and resumes cooking. Even though she is a woman, Ma is the center of the entire family and guides it in troubled times. She consistently acts rationally and advises her family to consider the ramifications of certain actions. Therefore it is unusual for her to display so much emotion. Ma knows her family members so well that she is able to predict when Tom is about to get angry and pacify him.

From the beginning Meg, Charles Wallace, and Calvin go on multiple adventures filled with fun, crazy, exciting moments. This book is completed with many obstacles in the way of the trio. A sure perspective that is extremely predominant in this book is love.

All in all, there are many ways to determine right from wrong, from having the government put laws in place to protect you from wrong choices, to thinking about how science can affect a decision you make. You can use any combination of methods to do so, but make sure to not let other people control what you think, like in Madeline L’engle’s book, A Wrinkle in Time, which shows us the danger if all people thought the same way. Throughout all the ways to determine right and wrong, though, my top three choices are still my parents who love me enough to teach me to make good choices, facts and statistics that tell the truth about what to do, and my conscience that always keeps me away from bad choices.
