Facts: Rudy Stanko was driving on the Montana State Highway 200 when he was pulled over by Officer Kenneth Breidenbach, a member of the Montana Highway Patrol. Stanko had been driving his vehicle at a steady 85 miles per hour at a location that was “narrow, had no shoulders, and was broken up by an occasional frost heave.” This location also included curves and hills which obscured vision of the roadway head. The actual roadway held no other drivers at this time during the day. Stanko had been driving his new 1996 Chevrolet Camaro, with brakes, tires, and a steering wheel that were all in perfect operating conditions.
Clayton Kershaw has been the best pitcher in the league up until he got injured with a lower back injury. He has a 1.79 ERA which leads the league, a 16.1 strikeout to walk ratio, and 0.73 WHIP. Before the injury he was the presumptive NL Cy Young Award winner and in the running for NL MVP, but this injury might derail one of his best years yet. Kershaw pitched a simulated game last Saturday and this gave a lot of people hope, until Dave Roberts announced that Kershaw didn’t feel good after the game. There was no original timetable when Kershaw first got injured and now that he has hit a setback, that timetable must be even longer than originally believed.
Yesterday, Sloan Jackson, age 18 was put on trial for stealing a shirt from Famous Fashions in Merchandise Mall. He supposedly ran out of the store with a lump (which was the same color as the stolen shirt) in his jacket to go to Record Mart because there was a big sale going on. He then was found sitting next to the yogurt stand and the shirt was found in a trash barrel near the yogurt stand. He then ran away from the security guard but he was in the end caught and brought back to the store to return the shirt. At the trial yesterday the jury came to a verdict of being guilty after talking in the jury room for about 10 minutes.

Jeremy Maclin is no longer among the unemployed. The veteran wide receiver signed a two-year with the Baltimore Ravens, the team announced Monday. As NFL.com noted, the agreement comes after Maclin visited with the team Thursday following a meeting with the Bills earlier in the week. In addition to the Ravens and Bills, the Browns also were interested in possibly signing the 29-year-old after he was released by the Chiefs on June 2.

January 9, 2018- 26 year old Tejay Johnson finds himself along his attorney Ian Goldman in front of Superior Court Judge Dennis Nieves to find out his fate for convicting over 30 robberies in the first degree along with 14 other former Rutgers players. Johnson was on trail with the possibility of having to sever 150 ½ years in prison without parole. The case of Tejay Johnson was handled in New Jersey Superior Court in New Brunswick was unjust as a penalty that high would serve as a bad example of the state. The facts of the story to this still preceding case is as follows: Johnson had pled guilty to three counts if robbery in first degree, three armed robbery in second degree, and three counts of conspiracy to commit other robberies in second
Matthew Ellegood has shown tremendous growth over the past year. With support Matthew has increased his circle of friends within the community. Matthew through his volunteer activity at the Crossing Thrift Store was introduced to friends that encouraged him to attend the Tim Tebow Prom. Matthew attended the Prom this past February and was partnered with a buddy from the Crossing.
Brooke Rogers is a junior at Drake University studying Environmental Science and Anthropology/Sociology with a minor in History. Brooke is from Kankakee, Illinois and enjoys talking to new people and sharing stories. She is an active member of Drake Broadcasting System, where she has hosted her own radio show for the third consecutive year. Although, this is her first oral history course Brooke finds herself right at home asking people about their lives. Brooke has found the whole process to be rewarding as well as inspirational and hopes to continue collecting oral histories after the course completes.

Tyshawn is a ten years old Black/African American male. Tyshawn is very hyperactive and often fidgets. Tyshawn’s mother stated during school Tyshawn have a problem staying seated during construction time, which causing him to become disrupted and interrupts other peers. Tyshawn is easily distracted, often fails to give close attention to details or makes careless mistakes in schoolwork, and other activities that have details/directions. Tyshawn stated his peers get on his nerves, and he enjoys bullying them.

He had everything going for him. Eli Tatum, a junior at a well-respected private high school in Reno, Nevada, was the epitome of a hard-working and high achieving student. Not only did Eli maintain superior grades in the most challenging of classes, he was also a spectacular athlete, musician and person. He was the type of student the school advertised on their website and on the pamphlets they distributed around the school and local community. Eli represented all that Sierra High School expected from their students and much, much more.
Cliff Mitchell provides all the students attending Mesa Verde Middle School one of the greatest learning experiences of anywhere in the district. In the year of 2008, Mitchell filled the role of MVMS’ principal. For the past 10 years, he lived in a constantly busy schedule. Mitchell normally wakes up at 6:00 am, or even earlier because of his love for his job and the students he takes care of. He arrives at the school at 7:30 am, about an hour earlier than the teachers.
Seth Stockton is a dedicated and motivated individual. After success in a sales career, Seth has chosen to expand his capabilities and pursue a degree as an ultrasound technician; this ability to adapt and grow speaks volumes about Seth’s character and his willingness to learn. His interest in and passion for ultrasound imaging spring from his own experience as a new father, as he saw his own daughter on the ultrasound screen for the first time. Because of this personal connection, I believe Seth brings with him a unique ability to strike a balance between professionalism and quiet compassion, an ability which is strongly needed in this field.
