Literary Essay In the story “ Aaron’s gift” by “Myron Levoy” Aaron was a young boy who found a pigeon, and since his grandmother’s birthday was coming up, he thought it would be the perfect gift. “Myron Levoy” Answered the question “What would you do for your family?” showed Aaron taking care of the pigeon and helping it get better, and being so thoughtful for his grandmother. “Aaron had leaped right across the fire at Carl, Taking him by complete surprise.” “Carl slid down to the ground and the pigeon rolled out of his hands. He took it home, and started to bandage it up, and fix it up. Make it healthy for him grandmother, but there was a group of boys that he wanted to hang out with the “gang” with the leader Carl. He didn't know that they wanted to hurt his pigeon. So Aaron gave the pigeon to them, and they took it. Started a fire, and wrapped the pigeon up. Aaron got scared so .Then. “ Aaron had leaped right across the fire at carl, taking him by complete surprise.” This shows he has the will to jump across a fire to tackle someone, and go for something that he needs, and something that he wants to give. This is true love, no one would really want to jump across a fire for something, unless it was really important. Taking this risk to get this animal back, just to give to his grandmother for one of her most valuable birthdays. It was really kind of him to jump across and get this animal for his grandmother. Also this kid doesn't just find the pigeon he had taken good care of it and tried to get it healed. So it would be healed and healthy when his grandmother got it, so she would be happy. Aaron's gift was really thoughtful, since when his grandmother was young she had gone through some rough times, she lost something she really loved especially animals. With the gang running after him.He had his eyes glued on the pigeon. In addition “Carl slid down to the ground and the pigeon rolled out of his handes, aaron scooped up the pigeon and ran.” This shows the determination of Aaron trying to get the pigeon from them to take home and give to his grandmother as a gift. Also Aaron had to take some beating even though he didn't get the pigeon back. Sadly the pigeon had flew away, but the boys were chasing it so it wasn't that bad for it, But aaron had helped the pigeon learn to fly. The pigeon didn't just learn in two minutes. So when aaron got home his family was very worried, and questions, but the first thing aaron did say he was sorry. Know back to when Aaron had to take a beating to try and save pidg. Aaron did everything he could just so his grandmother could have something lovely, something she would deeply appreciate.
