Foundation of Management Sociotechnical theory, organizational behavior, quantitative management and systems theory are known as contemporary management approaches (Bateman & Snell, 2013). These four management approaches are essential in analyzing the different organizational environments, competitive environments, including internal and macro environment. They represent the cornerstones of modern management, and they keep close connection to the surrounding environment (Bateman & Snell, 2013).
First, sociotechnical system focuses on creating the internal environment. Sociotechnical is not productive like Quantitative management even if the system creates the balance or worker and technology. Although this method cares about people in a physical way, but it does not focus on the relationship between people as the Organizational Behavior. This method doesn’t have too much to do with the internal and competitive environment while it reacts to one of the microenvironment element which is the technology, but I don't see it

It is also a System Theory. I think this approach is a combination of three methods that I mentioned above. I can see the big picture as well as each part of the organization by using this method. The Organization's external environment is considered unlike other approaches. The internal weaknesses and strengths will be exposed as the method of sociotechnical system. Managers and worker’s value, goal and attitude will also be considered as Organizational Behavior. Manager will know how to react on both internal and external environments.
