Abigail Williams is the Regina George in the speculative play, The Crucible. The way she carries herself and how she treats other throughout the play. Williams is very vindictive, smart, and she seems to enjoy everything that she is causing. She has everyone twisted around her thumb. Abigail accuses everyone else except herself for everything that has happened. Everything that she is thriving for is because of the love she has for John Proctor. Through out the story she is driven my envy, shows off her lying skills, and shows how manipulative she is. To begin with, just the starting of act one, Abigail depicts this character of being a liar. Williams is very progressive when it comes to it. She doesn’t want to ruin her reputation, so she calls out other people who may or may not have participated in the night in the woods. With this, she also made the others lie for her and themselves. As if she was the queen bee, she was able to control anyone that would have made her look bad in any way. Abigail quoted “let either of you breathe a word, or edge of a word about the other things, and I will come to you in a black of some terrible night and I will bring a pointy reckoning that will shudder you. She wanted John Proctor to herself so bad that she’d stop at nothing to get him. In Act 2, Mary Warren was sitting in court, and while doing so, she was making a poppet. This poppet was given to Elizabeth Proctor as a gift, which was then found in her house. While Mary was making the poppet, Abby noticed where she kept the needle. She then stabbed herself in that same spot the needle was and blamed Elizabeth for the actions. Abby was trying to convince the courts that Elizabeth was involved in witchery. The court believed what she said and arrested Elizabeth proctor. This is what she wanted. Soon after the accusers would be sentenced to death, her dream was that her and john would be together.
