Positive regard when a person accepts another person for being who he is and forgetting his past behavior is called unconditional positive regard (Licht, Hull & Ballantyne, 2017). At the end of the movie, David is trying to find his girlfriend in the stadium. he comes across Galaxia, a transsexual man, who he had a bad experience with, in past because of his behavior. Galaxia helps him get to the field, and David thanks and kisses him and jokingly says “don’t think I don’t owe you a couple of smacks by the way.” Thus, this friendly exchange implies that David has accepted Galaxia for being who he is.
