One of the first reasons Abraham is a genius is that he became a lawyer, but he did not attend any law school he taught him-self the law. He came from a family were his parents couldn't read or write, and Abraham Lincoln only attended a school for less then a year. After he taught him-self the law, he took a test to see if he would be put on the bar to become a lawyer. A trait that made Abraham Lincoln a good lawyer, is that he was able to simplify any case to make it more understandable to the average person. Also he was able to read the jury and was able to influence them. Those traits are really important for a lawyer because if you can simplify a case for the jure that can help you win the case. Along with simplifying a case being able to read the jury can help you win a case because you can read what there take is on it and know what to do to convince them on how to decide. Abraham Lincoln established the U.S. states Department of Agriculture, also he established the U.S. National Banking system that is still around and running today. Another accomplishment that Lincoln had was that he singed the Morrill Land-Grant Act which led to many university's being made. Some thing that Abraham was be hind was the progressive nature of incoming tax in U.S. so that family's can be taxed accordingly to how much income they bring in. One of Abraham Lincoln's most remembered accomplishments as president was him leading the U.S. to victory in the American Civil War, the war was the fought against the northern and the southern states, where the north won to free the slaves. These are the main reasons why Abraham Lincoln should be in the 8-1 genius hall of fame, but some people would say that Abraham doesn't deserve to be in the 8-1 Genius Hall of
