According to historical scholars Abraham Lincoln is considered to be the greatest president of all time. From his extraordinary leadership through the civil war, to his immense ability for speech as well as his dedication to re-write wrongs. Lincoln made many great contributions in establishing where this nation is today. An example of Lincoln being able to communicate and inspire others is the Gettysburg address. His ability of speech raised the morale for many men and women during the civil war which later led to the positive moment towards ending slavery.

As president, Abraham was faced with the difficult challenge of leading the nation through the civil war, which began shortly after he took office in 1861.
