Historical Fiction On April 14, 1865 John Wilkes Booth , a famous actor and confederate sympathizer , fatally shot President Abraham Lincoln. Abraham Lincoln’s killer, John Wilkes Booth , was a Maryland native born in 1838 who remained in the north during the civil war despite his confederate sympathies. As the conflict entered it’s final stages he and several associates hatched a plot to kidnap the President and take him to Richmond , the confederate capital . At 7:22 in the morning , president Lincoln died that when the sad moment come to my life it seem like a dream the happen and the hope doesn’t come true but as I am a young age boy I still could help the union soldiers to catch the murder . I couldn’t help anything but the only way to help find president Lincoln murder. At the morning I woke up early just to help find the murder we looking everywhere but we can not find the murder . In early in the morning on April 26, soldiers entered Garrett’s farm. I found booth in the barn and I told the soldiers . then the soldiers surrounded the barn . They call out and said surrender, or we’ll burn the barn and smoke you out like rats, but booth refused to surrender and then the soldiers set the barn on fire, they could see booth through the cracks and knotholes in the burning barn. He had a rifle , one of the soldier corbett fired his pistol into the barn booth was hit band fall . Booth was shot the neck. Soldiers carried him to the porch of the Garrett house. There , Booth lived about three hours . Around 7:00 in the morning, he uttered his final words “ tell my mother I die for my country”. After all that has happen I feel bad that president Abraham Lincoln die but I am proud of myself that I get to help found the murder
