Accelerated education programs must be fueled with many components for the system to run smoothly. These various components must have the students as the main focus to be successful. Additionally, the accelerated education model will not work unless teachers and students are on the same page with their personal goals. When there is poor classroom management , no teacher support, and poor student effort the model will fail. Going to an accelerated education school with poor student effort and poor teacher support will not help your child succeed, if anything it will hold them back. As an administrator of Valley Ridge High School, we have to push the students and show them that we also care about their education. If the student does not see that we care then our model will not work. Teachers being confident that students are capable of learning will help students to be confident in themselves. If you, the teachers, do not believe in your students, who will? Students feed off the energy teachers put into their job. If the student can not control themselves then they should not be in an accelerated environment. The fault is not put only on the teachers. Situations where students are disrespectful and do not care about anything the teacher has to say, interrupts learning. Students not being motivated and choosing not do their assignments affects learning as well. A student disturbes the classroom when they do not understand the lesson being taught. The accelerated model is also a fast pace learning environment and students must grasp the concept quickly. This can also be a reason for the behavior that some students display in the
