According to Breitmeyer (2015), the current author should at time reflect on his previous feedback in order to improve performance on future writing assignments. This improvement is not just for the future assignments but to prepare us for writing a dissertation. In the following paragraphs, this author will be examining three strengths, three weaknesses, and three plans to create behaviors that will address continuous improvements.
Minimum of Three Strengths The first strength identified by this author is his creative nature. His independent thinking exterior to a six-sided container, although humorous, does avoid colloquial expressions. In addition to his creative abilities, this author’s second strength is his ability to take a rough thought placed in a sentence and minimalize excessive word use that added little to no value. From tab indentions to reference page line spacing, this author’s mistakes were exacerbated by his reliance on technology. The inconsistent tab spacing errors in the first paper were a product of converting from Google Docs to Microsoft Word. The author, once aware of this issue, has incorporated corrective measures. The reference page line spacing was due to blindly accepting Endnote exportation of references. This too has been corrected. Grammar, especially sentence structure, ranks second in this author’s trifecta of weaknesses. Actual base knowledge and understanding of grammatical rules and sentence structure are skills that were not originally comprehended and have not been strengthened over time. Maintaining consistency in verb tense and singular/plural noun forms are especially difficult and maybe an area of future study in November. Finally, need to finish this part
