Achilles honors Patroclus by holding a series of funeral games in his memory. Achilles dishonors Hector by putting his corpse on the back of a chariot and dragging his body throughout troy.

The Gods interfere with Achilles' plan because the Gods believe that a corps that does not go through proper burial process cant go on to the afterlife. The Gods saw Hector live a respectful life and allowed him to go on to the afterlife.

The meeting with Priam allows Achilles to see Priam as his own father and sympathy starts building inside Achilles.

It ends like that because the death of Hector was the main victory.

I like Hector more because he was selfless and showed respect to the enemy. Achilles was selfish and showed disrespect to hectors body. morally hector was a much better person and I liked Hector more.
