Page 1: The day was boring. Other than a snack of carrots, there had been no excitement for Agu Gugu. He wanted to just play with toys in his room, but even that did not seem to be an option. Opening the door to his room, Gugu 's mother looked back at him.
the boat instead of sleeping in the cabin since the weather was so nice. “I made my permanent bed on the port bunk with lee cloth tied by two lines to the rail above on the ceiling stretching the length and forming a sort of cradle that stopped me from falling out as the boat tossed around. I arranged a sleeping bag inside the cradle for maximum comfort and I’d bundle up in this cocoon with Dinghy, as Varuna rocked us to sleep.” Tania would often dream about different foods that she craved causing her to wake and be salivating. Even though she did miss certain foods like ice cream, chicken and salads, she did not feel the need to go back to land.
Has anyone ever been locked up and forced to do something against their will? Well Im guessing no right, well John knows all about it. All was calm in a town in Rome, Italy. Suddenly John wakes up.
Ashley Johnson English II PAP 3rd Period Mrs. Styf 29 October 2015 Journal #10 It all started when Azula woke up in the middle of the night. Feeling ridiculously exasperated, Azula ate a ripened avocado, thinking it would make her feel better (but as usual, it did not). Then she realized that her beloved precious stone was missing! Immediately she called her redheaded 'friend', Lester.
Throwing her bag down onto the office couch, Veronica sunk down next to it, putting her feet up on the coffee table. Two grand from Mrs. Picarrino in her office safe, Veronica was sated enough to sour her good mood thinking about Logan Echolls. He’d seemed genuinely shocked at Veronica’s accusations, and genuinely insistent that Kendall hadn’t been telling her the truth. “Everything okay, honey?” Keith saw more than the average hump-day frustrations on his daughter’s face.
Generals Miki and Washizu are Samurai commanders under a local lord, Lord Tsuzuki, who reigns in the castle of the Spider's Web Forest. After defeating the lord's enemies in battle, they return to Tsuzuki's castle. On their way through the thick forest surrounding the castle, they meet a spirit, who foretells their future. The spirit tells them that today Washizu will be named Lord of the Northern Garrison and Miki will now be commander of the first fortress. She then foretells that Washizu will eventually become Lord of Spiderweb Castle, and finally she tells Miki that his son will also become lord of the castle.
The protagonist in this story is Jim Hawkins, who is twelve or thirteen years old. On the beginning, he lives with his parents in a inn. He can be very courageous, like when he was gone back to the ship, when they were in Treasure Island. [quote: chapter 27, Pieces of Eight, page 250]: “I went below and did what I could for my wound; it pained me a good deal and still bled freely, but it was neither deep nor dangerous, nor did it greatly gall me when I used my arm. Then I looked around me, and as the ship was now, in a sense, my own, I began to think of clearing it from its last passenger—the dead man, O’Brien.
In Chapter 1, the overall main idea that the author writes about is Gantos lifestyle in St. Croix leading him to the drug culture. The drugs being available everywhere especially the dope never made him think that it would lead him to trouble or jail. He talks about the consequences that St. Croix is dealing, the racism between blacks and whites. His plans in St. Croix changing with the racism situation leading his father jobs to get cancelled, having them work at building wooden packages. He later meets Rik who’s a dope smuggler since he always has him shipping his artifacts with extra protection.

No sooner than Joth got to within fifty-feet of the watchtower, Leutgard, Tolki and the Roman legionary riders appeared to be leaving their meeting place together. As Joth slowed, Arminius caught up and nearly tackling him. “What in the name of the North Gods are you doing?”

"I'll give my life to ensure his safety" "Is it enough?" "Don't worry, m'lady. An Arabian's scimitar is worth ten of those western rifles" Then she saw them. Three warriors of her blood and flesh.
Dialectical Journal Entry #1 A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini Passage: “But I’m a different breed of man, Mariam. Where I come from, one wrong look, one improper word, and blood is spilled. Where I come from, a woman’s face is her husband’s business only. I want you to remember that.
While reading this story I could only think one thing ‘how could anybody do such things to a child?’ I don’t understand how difficult would be to go through the things Celie has, and continues to go through. How uneasy she must have felt it anytime her bedroom door squeaked opened and in walked the man who should have protected her, that instead brutally forced her to do things way beyond her age. This story is set in a time when such cruel diabolical behavior was normal makes me glad that times have changed. Nothing Celie’s father did is agreeable in any way.
1. The author wants the reader to have empathy or understand where he’s coming from. The author states “You, who so well know the nature of my soul, will not suppose, however, that I gave utterance to a threat.” He tries to justify his future crime and wants the readers to understand.
Entry 2 I have read through the tenth chapter and just now in the eleventh chapter, I understand why the book is called Breakfast with Buddha. Rinpoche offers to answer one of Otto’s personal or spiritual questions each morning at breakfast before the depart on the road for the day’s travels. I’m not sure why it is only one question, but I guess that Rinpoche knows a lot about spirituality and it would probably take a really long time to explain everything at once. Regardless of how Rinpoche decided on the one question a day offer, he said, “You can ask me now any question and I will give you a wesson...
