Eichmann: Epitome of Evil An ordinary man given the right opportunities can do most impactful things, whether they be good or evil. Adolf Eichmann was born March 19th, 1906 in Solingen, Germany. (p.165) In 1914, Eichmann and his family moved to Linz, Austria, due to the death of his mother.("Adolf Eichmann." Gale) At 16, Eichman dropped out of highschool, and from that point on was faced with failure. On the 1920s Eichman jumped job to job regularly. Adolf had little to no success until he joined the Nazi party where he excelled. His accomplishments affected the world and many people 's lives tremendously. Ernst Kaltenbrunner, a family friend, convinced Adolf Eichmann to join the Austrian National Socialist Party (Nazi) in 1932. (United States Holocaust Memorial Museum) Joining the party was a major stepping stone in Eichmann 's life. After being faced with failure after failure he finally came to a point where he could excel. The Austrian National Socialist Party was banned in 1933, there the party moved to Germany. Eichmann becomes the Director of RSHA section Iv B4 ( Jewish Affairs). As the director he deports 1.5 million jewish people. Eichmann made the killing systems and deportation systems much easier than what they were. In october, Eichmann deports 7000 jews from Baden and Saarpfalz. Eichmann is promoted to Lieutenant colonel Eichmann is invited to attend the Wannsee conference on january 20th 1942. At This conference Himmler had proposed the idea of “ The Final Solution Of The Jewish Question”, to leaders of the RSHA and the Nazi party. After this conference in 1942 to 1943 Eichmann begins to organize ways to deport jews of the Greater German Reich, Slovakia, the Netherlands, France Belgium, and Croatia to killing centers in poland.
