The modern society that we are living in is getting dangerous every day and the advancement of technology is slowly destroying individuals and the world. In the book Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, the setting of the book starts with a future world filled with violence and censorship. It also involves the world being in a war and negative impacts of technology advancements. Humans in the civilization of Fahrenheit 451 are overdosed with drugs due to overuse of technology and do not get the chance to critically think or learn. The story ends with humans repeating its cycle of advancement and destruction. Humans wont stop trying to develop our technology and the advancement of technology will eventually lead to what happened in the book Fahrenheit 451. Body paragraph #1 In the book Fahrenheit 451, society is filled with technologies that are preventing people from thinking and communicating, and families and friends rarely get the chance to communicate and express their thoughts due to technology. There are many examples of how technology prevents people from communicating with factors such as fast-driving cars, audio playing subway, parlor walls, etc. Mildred’s overuse of technology was a starting point for Montag when he started to realise the harm of technology. This idea might be valid if humans are in a condition where they can not develop anymore but as long as humans still exist then we won't stop advancing. Humans went from writing on papers to texting on phones anytime and anywhere. Us humans would not stop our advancement because development and advancement needs to happen for humans to adapt and survive. Conclusion As expressed, technology is hurting both societies physically and mentally. Technology is providing us entertainment and giving us the ability to live our life comfortably. As technology is providing us with the entertainment that we like, it's slowly destroying us physically and mentally just like Fahrenheit 451.
