1.1 What is Computer-based information system
1.1.1 A Computer-based information system (CBIS) is an organised integration of hardware and software technologies and human elements designed to produce timely, incorporated, accurate and useful information for decision making purposes. Before we are using CBIS, all the data is done manually, where all the information is written and store in a different file. Sometimes, this process is called non-computerized system. Non-computerized is not efficient because it consumes a lot of time to find and adjust the information. So, to eliminate this problem, a new system is created and it is called as a computerized system or CBIS. A computer-based information system (CBIS) also is usual of hardware, software, databases, telecommunication, people, and procedures that are constructed to collect, control, store, and process the data into complete information. A CBIS also have five functions, there are input which consist raw data either from organization or outside the organization to be processed. Second is process which transfer raw data into information, third is output which is information that has been processed, storage which is place to store the useful information and lastly is control which to control the evolving of information system.

Components
Computers have one or a lot of big or small R-A-M chips inside. RAM chips are a random access memory chip inside, the computer uses it to store information that will be used anytime or used to store something like the copy clipboard(The copy clipboard is the thing that stores what you copy to paste later) to delete/change later. There is also a spinning or solid state hard drive that uses DVD like disks that stores information like your video games, pictures, or other things. A CPU is the thing that your computer uses to do all the processing work, like our brain but not like it. CPU stands central-processing-unit.
