The article, “Never Say Anything a Kid Can Say,” by Steven C. Reinhart that was published in 2000 was quite an interesting read. Throughout this article, the author explained a teaching technique that he thought was the most effective for students to learn the most. He explained that it was a process; it wasn’t a technique that could be implemented and accomplished within a few days. The main idea of this philosophy was to have the students do the explaining and the teacher do the listening, which is completely opposite of the normal classroom setting.
This battle really marked Kamehameha as true leader and a warrior, when King Kalaniopu’u passed away, Kamehameha became king of certain parts of the Big Island. By using the western technology, he was able to many many battles with ease. Kamehameha used the western guns and cannons that were given as gifts from other foreigners, because Kamehameha used the same exact ones in the battle with Cook, with that being said Kamehameha went on and conquered his home island and the rest of Hawaii, and now Fulfilling the prophecy that one day he would be the man, the killer of kings, the King of all the Hawaiian Islands. Kamehameha really used the advantage of having a disadvantage of using the entire battlefield, which was Kealakekua Bay, because of
In this view, the teacher must have high expectations for the work of the students. These clearly high expectations can be seen in the teachers’ own words, but more important, I would argue that it is demonstrated by the challenging (requiring deep thinking) tasks that these teachers presented to their students. To be successful students in each of the classes in the book, a student had to work and put in effort. Passivity did not appear to be acceptable in any of these
Silence: small word, big concept. Silence is crucial to humanity, defining the human experience and language. But unlike silence, language is continually evolving. Most of humanity is advanced through language, setting the foundation for culture, power, and imagination. In other words, language represents both freedom and imprisonment, hope and fear, love and hate.
In life not everyone communicates in the same way and we may have to adapt our communication skills to meet the needs of others. By making someone feel at ease and comfortable within their surroundings can help bring down barriers so then communication can begin, just by giving someone time and you yourself being patient. There are lots of different languages throughout the world and even though a lot of people speak English for some adults another language could be their first language not English. Keeping communication simple so that everyone understands what is being said can help people to communicate with one another.

To call this era of drastic change the ‘Quiet Revolution’ is a vivid, and yet, paradoxical description. The Quiet Revolution was a time of intense socio-political and socio-cultural change in Quebec, which extended beyond Quebec’s borders because of its influence on contemporary Canadian politics. As a result of the effects of the changes that occurred during this Quiet Revolution, most Quebec provincial governments since the early 1960s have maintained political and social orientations based on the core concepts developed and implemented during the Quiet Revolution. As such, there is no doubt that the Quiet Revolution had a significant impact in Canadian History. This impact can be characterized by the prelude to the Quiet Revolution; the demographic evolution of Quebec; the social educational reforms that were put in place; the economic reforms and their impact; the rise of nationalism; and finally, the cultural changes that occurred.
Chapter Five-The Quiet Man (76-89) As I was reading this I was thinking that it was written just for me. In the past I was the kind of person that had something to say about everything. I am working on this and reading this chapter made the point even clearer to me. Teacher or anybody for that matter need to listen more and talk less. When we as teachers start getting frustrated we should stop and think about the frustrations the students are going through and make those teachable moments.
If the teacher speaks every time, students won’t learn anything because we are telling them how to solve and work on the word problem. If the students work and we assist them through question, they will understand how to solve the problem. In my first year of teaching, I was talking and giving students everything they needed to know. In this new school year, I will take my students and use the real world activities. For example: Let the students walk around and use the materials to measure the things they see in their campus.
First, the speech development is one of the first tools that child will demonstrate in their first learning situation. Then, it is important to have language development skills at first. By this kind of activities, the children engaged in speaking with other peers may have cooperative ideas in play any task given by the teacher. There also verbal and non-verbal interactions involved between two or more person that contribute to the social interactions that can improve their communication skills. Basically, through this method, there no children left behind because all the children need to interact to each other to complete the
Reduce operational costs and increase productivity Track and control vehicles to provide better communication, deliver timely services, etc. Transmit information quickly via satellites and prepare vehicle reports All these features of the tracking system ultimately reduces operational costs and increase productivity. Guide drivers and increase fuel efficiency By careful analysing driver behavior such as speeding, acceleration, braking etc. , you will be able to avoid unnecessary wear and tear of the vehicle, operating, and fuel costs With the help of sensors, you can minimize maintenance costs, machine failures, and thereby prevent vehicle theft Improve cargo security and driver's safety You can identify theft instantly
Cryptography is a technique or method to secure personal data from unauthorized user. In cryptography two types of operation are performed. (i) Encryption and (ii) Decryption. To encrypt and decrypt data a secret key is used. After encryption original data is converted into another format known as cyphertext, which is not easy to understand.
Throughout my training, I implemented various strategies for engaging students in small groups and rigorous lessons. My role as a teacher is to communicate effectively, be respectful, and have self-worth and confidence. I did fear making wrong choices throughout this field experience. I set high expectations the students to achieve high goals. Teaching to me opened doors to many students’ lives.
I prefer online learning "its allows for learning in distant or disadvantaged locations, online education is easy to access and provides a convenient way to obtain course materials such as homework, exams, schedules, test scores and more" I say this because some students may need a little more time to understand the material that is getting taught. Another reason is fitting school into students ' schedules. Some people are lucky to go to school and be carefree. On the other hand, some kids have to work and help provide for their families and can 't afford to be at school all day. Well online learning can help with that in a major way.
The Aural-Oral Approach in English Language Teaching In English language teaching there are several approaches that can be applied in a classroom. Each one has purpose and gives concern to certain skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) development. One of these approaches is Aural-Oral Approach. The Aural-Oral Approach is based on developing two language skills: listening and after that speaking which is the earlier stage of learning a language (Geri, 1990).
