I like this because it gives a chance to travel and not have to stay in one spot for a long period of time. Willy didn’t talk much about what kind of courses to take in this career field. Although, he did mention a few time to get as much experience as you can and learn from them and also make professional connections. With this job and several other jobs, there’s a chance that you will have to move for a job. Willy also explains that you have to be open to more successful and do things you may not
The Occupational Therapy profession is advocating for clients and profession itself in different ways to guarantee the access to the services. Accused, outcast, alone, and afraid. You might associate it with The Crucible if I told you those simple adjectives, but they also correlate with the Red Scare; the sole basis of inspiration for The Crucible. The Crucible is a play that was created to enact change in the American society. The author, Arthur Miller did this by taking a historic event such as the Salem witch trials which now are perceived as terrible and wrong. Then, the author connected it into their modern society for them to realize the obvious wrongdoings of the past were happening in front of their very own eyes, just in an unusual way, the red scare and effects of McCarthyism.
Occupational therapy is an arcane profession to the general populous. Occupational therapists help all individuals live life to their fullest by maximizing one’s level of independence through engaging
I have known for years that I wanted to work in the realm of health science. I knew that I wanted to do something in sports medicine. When I took a deeper look into sports medicine I learned that there are many areas of sports medicine that you can get licensed in and that the sports medicine part would be a specialty to attach to it. So I took the list as started to look through it at each job that plays an affect in the sport medicine area. I narrowed in on Physical Therapy and then took the time to do some shadowing in it for my senior study.
I love moments when I am able to extend a helping hand and I know Occupational Therapy will fulfill that need, substantially. I believe my past qualifications, determination, and life experiences proves my academic capabilities and thereby makes me an ideal candidate for any Occupational Therapy

There are five careers that stand out to me and that I want to focus on. We have this project that we have to do on our five main careers. I would really like to focus on Athletic Trainer and Landscaping. I know I have to figure out the main one I like for college. I’m going to explain you the main details about each career.
I’ve had a couple of life experiences that have shaped my mind to think differently, such as when I nearly drowned in the ocean, or when I fractured my ankle by jumping over a bean bag chair. With multiple weeks spent in a boot and a slight but undeniable fear of rip currents, I’ve managed to gather an interest in orthopedics and ocean life; as a result, I have decided to research further into being a surgeon (specializing in orthopedics), and a marine biologist. These two careers contrast drastically, specifically in required education and salary, work environment, and job outlooks. Although being an orthopedic surgeon and a marine biologist both require a certain amount of extended education beyond high school, they contrast in how much is necessary. According to Barbara Sheen, “postsecondary aspiring surgeons must obtain a bachelor’s degree, which usually takes four years.
The major classes you would have to take while earning your degree are Biology, Chemistry, and many other science classes. But going into the medical field you need to know that it is very competitive you have to know what you 're doing (Healthcare Career. (2009) para. 6). Schooling for a physical therapist assistant is 2 years which is an associate’s degree (Find Your Physical Therapy Degree Program (n.d.) para 2).
and intrigued by the mind-body connection as well as the importance of human activity and occupation in maintaining mental and physical well-being. At the same time, my desire to work directly with people and be able to make a positive and lasting change to their lives by empowering them and helping discover their strengths and confidence in themselves to achieve their goals, led me to a realization that a career in occupational therapy would be a perfect fit for me. To me occupational therapy is a dynamic, rewarding, challenging, and inspiring field where I can fully realize my skills and knowledge. Having always been a firm believer in the patient-centric approach, I am passionate about providing excellent service to patients by improving their performance, preventing illness and disability and promoting adaptation to life
The career choice that I have chosen is to become an athletic trainer. I love to play sports and be around sports, so I think that being an athletic trainer would be a good career for me. I like to help people and make an impact in other peoples life and becoming an athletic trainer would allow me to help people recover, start to feel better, and get back to what they have to do. There isn’t much better than doing a career that you enjoy and like to do plus making pretty good money doing it. I just feel that becoming an athletic trainer and doing it as a career would be the best fit for me.
Becoming an occupational therapist is my passion and my long-term career goal. Since a young age I have been incredibly inspired and motivated to befriend and help disabled individuals. Having grown up with a disabled mother who benefited from the services of occupational therapy I had the opportunity to see first hand how the experience gave can give individuals like her fulfilling and productive lives. With both parents working as healthcare professionals, including my mother who is now an occupational therapist herself, I see every day how rewarding the field is. Through my life I have had unique personal, professional and educational experiences that have shaped me into a strong candidate for an advanced education in occupational therapy.
I want to be part of such a rewarding career. I feel that the subjects I have studied have provided me with a good foundation of skills and knowledge that I will use on a daily basis as Occupational therapist. In Biology I learned about the human body on a physical level. I found learning how the body works to be fascinating and I look forward to expanding my knowledge even more with this course.
