Though there are many unique blogs that exist in the internet world, certain types of blogs remain to be the most popular for bloggers to create. Kate McCulley's blog "Adventurous Kate" (adventurouskate.com) falls into the category of travel blogs. Many travel blogs can be found online, but what makes "Adventurous Kate" popular is that McCulley is documenting her journey of what it is like to travel alone as a woman. Despite what sets McCulley's blog and others apart, all blogs tend to share similar characteristics that can be analyzed. In order to be considered pristine, a blog must have an intuitive structure, moderate style, and introspective content. As defined by the above analysis of each of the three variables, McCulley’s blog “Adventurous Kate” features those options for each variable. Keren also describes the pristine blogger as using “introspective thought that is shared with the community in moderation, but without an argumentative structure” which McCulley does as she reaches out to her audience and shares details of her own life (117). McCulley’s blog appears pristine aswell. It is simple, organized, and full of photos. There are tabs specifically labeled that lead to lists and links. It is easy to find her best or most popular posts, or to find a post about a specific destination. There is even a link on the right side of her blog that is titled “Start a Travel Blog in 6 Easy Steps” only furthering the mission of Adventurous Kate to inspire readers to have adventures of their own. McCulley is also honest about how the ads on her blog help her continue her career as a full time blogger to explain how she can possibly travel the world so easily. Nothing seems to be hidden, obnoxious, or overdone on “Adventurous Kate.” It can be called pristine because of that, and also when taking the three variables of structure, style, and content into
