Adversity
Many times in your life you face adversity. Whether it is struggling to make good grades, pushing yourself through a practice, or just having an arguement with your family. These challenges make you a stronger person. If you are able to face your problem with the right mentality, you can overcome almost anything. Although some results are inevitable.
A lion is a predator, it will stop at nothing to get its prey. A gazelle is it’s prey, it’s life everyday is a struggle. A constant worry, whether a lion or other predator is stalking it about to attack. They have to be on guard and ready at all times.
When we face adversity there are different ways we can respond to it. You can either give in and quit, or you can try your best to overcome the problem. In some situations you can contest all you want, but in the end you have to face reality and accept fate.
When I try to make grades I try my best to not give up and allow them to slip, I study harder and when I want to give up is when I need to push myself even more. It has to prepare itself by not going out into the open where a lion can chase it down. It doesn’t go into a ravine with nowhere to run. If the gazelle sets itself up for failure, the lion is sure to have a chance. But if the gazelle can recognize the lion with enough time, there is still a chance it can get away to safety. If you set yourself up for success, you can achieve it. But you have to give yourself a chance. When you let your grades slip, and allow yourself to be lazy at practice, you’re just asking for trouble. But if you’re able to see what you’re doing is wrong, make an adjustment while there is still time, there is a chance you can still come out on
