Aerith was born on the planet of Greozoumia, on the summit of Mt. Epidia of the Aerian nation of Whiterock. She's descended from a long lineage of priestesses and monks. All whom have devoted their ways of life to the Temples of the Gods. Her mother, Chaldera Silvermist, was a high priestess (a high priestess' duty is to protect the relics of the Temples of the Gods and instruct aspiring priestesses in the way of the gods) and the fairy of nature channeling (her abilities were able to manipulate mystical, arcane energy). Her second mother, Fopella, is the Goddess of Air (she changed her gender to male to have an offspring with Chaldera) and suffered gravely. On Greozoumia, the act of a deity having intercourse with a mortal is punishable by banishment to the void; however, the mortal's punishment is death. Although, Aerith was the offspring of both the banished goddess and the mortal, the three main gods allowed her to live, on the conditions she was to know nothing of her heritage and to be brought up in the ways of the priestesses. She stopped showing up for class and stopped eating. Liluth gave her a month to cope with Yseult's departure, excusing her from all lessons and staying close to help her cope. During this time, Liluth tried to console her and told her, she would meet her friend again someday. At this time, Aerith began to question why she had to become a priestess, why couldn't she be a normal girl like the ones who live in the village at the base of the mountain.
