On the sixth and final day of God’s creation, he created his ultimate accomplishment, Adam, the first man. God felt as though something was missing in Adam, and knew the solution was to provide him with a companion to plenish the world. While Adam was sleeping, God took a rib from the man, closed up the wound, and then proceeded to mold the bone from Adam into the body of a suitable helper. Once Adam woke up, he was satisfied and spoke, "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man." (Genesis 3:23) According to Genesis, God created women to be fruitful and multiply. She was created to be a companion for and reproduce with Adam, but her introduction of sin to the world produced the most evil than any other woman in Genesis. She did positively impact the future to come, because without her, there wouldn’t have been a future; but her negative impact outweighed her positive impact. She went against God’s will and satisfied the serpent’s wish by eating fruit from the tree of knowledge. The serpent declared to Eve, “You shall not surely die,” and convinced her that by eating from this tree she shall be as of a God, allowing her the knowledge of good and evil. God began to question Eve when he uncovered what she had done. Eve told God that she was forced by the serpent to do so. God then turned to Adam and told him that since he followed his wife's suggestion and ate from the forbidden tree, he would be cursed from this day forward. Consequently, it was Eve’s curse that her desire should be to her husband, and he should rule over her (Stanton, 37). Since God is all knowing, with knowledge of both the present and the future, he was aware that when he created woman, she would be tempted by the evil serpent and act against his wishes. In the house of the Egyptian lived a cruel, vindictive she-devil, the Potiphar’s wife. The keeper of the house had noticed that Joseph was a good man, impressed by the way he walked in the ways of the lord. He hired him in his absence to run the duties of the home. His wife saw something different in Joseph, she saw him through lustful eyes. She encouraged him to lie with her. Joseph respected the keeper of the house, and his intentions were to do him proud, not to commit adultery. He is bound by the law of honor, the law of chastity, and the law of piety to stay clean. One day, while the Potiphar was gone, his wife snuck up on Joseph and attempted to seduce him. When he tried to back away, she ended up in possession of his garment. She then took this to her advantage, and walked around yelling that Joseph had raped her. Joseph was then thrown in jail, but the lord was always with him because he proved the strength of his faith, which the Potiphar's wife tested. She positively influenced Joseph in that matter, but her lying and cheating shows how negligent she really was. She bared false witness, and in doing so, broke one of God’s future ten
