Amsterdam in World War II was horrible for jews,because during February 22,1941 jews were getting arrested by the Germans,but all together they deported the seven hundred jews to Buchenwald concentration camp. And then some of the jews were deported from Buchenwald to Mauthausen camp and by then most of those jews were killed their. Anne Frank was a German jewish tennager who was forced to go to hiding during the Holocaust. She was born June 12,1920, Anne and her family, along with four others spent over two years during World War II, hiding in an annex full of rooms above her father’s office in Amsterdam. Anne Frank later on in life died in March 12,1945 in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in Germany.
Dorothea’s childhood was a very important part of her life, it somewhat shaped who she was overall as a person. Dorothea was born in Hampden Maine on April 4th 1802. Both of her parents suffered from depression and her father was an alcoholic who was hardly ever around. However when he rarely was around he began to teach Dorothea how to read and write. She soon realized that she had a passion for learning.

Also, a reader knows each guest is eventually murdered. Christie justifies in the epilogue that the guests perished due to their committed crimes; because Wargrave feels the need to kill someone though works as a judge, he discusses his reasoning in choosing crime-committers as targets.

When Mr. Blore is riding he looks to the old man and thinks that he is closer to dying. The old man says, "Watch and pray. The day of judgment is at hand" (17). This makes the reader anxious because you want to know if he is going to die and how is this man so sure.
