In the article “5 Reasons why pit bulls are Misunderstood”,Kristina Pepeko, in Science Daily, states that there are 5 myths to the reason why Pit Bulls are misjudged. According to this article many people take information that they have heard and change it into the wrong prospective. A “Pit Bull's behavior is based on the way their owners raise them not just their breed. “Pit Bull” is actually a generic term applied to various breeds including the American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Blue Blood Bulldog, Dogo Argentino and Hundreds of mixed breeds of similar appearance. Therefore, the term “pit bull” often designates how a dog looks and not a breed itself, typically leading to a larger degree of misplaced blame on these dogs.

On 11/26/17, at approximately10:47am, I Deputy Warden N. Christian with Franklin County Animal Care and Control (FCACC) was dispatched to 3269 E. 12th on on a dog at large, patrol only. I arrived on scene at approximately11:25am, I was flagged down by a unknown African American male who pointed out the location of a pit bull (black) loose behind the above stated address. I took a picture of the pit bull loose. I exited my vehicle and approached the pit bull. I was able to place a leash on the pit bull without any issues.

If you are using the crate method for housebreaking your puppy, never leave him/her inside of the crate for more than two hours at a time. Your pet will soon grow to understand that he/she should go outside of the home to relieve itself and your housebreaking approach will be a success.

This affects the ability for one to use a service dog to its full potential. People cannot be asked to leave a public place if the business thinks it is a fake dog because some service dogs are simply under-trained. The population of those using fake service dogs or emotional support animals are ruining the ability for the disabled to use them without being questioned.
