There were so many books that caught my eye, however there were just a few that truly intrigued me. Looking for Alaska has been a name that has been in my head for a while. I have heard such great things about this novel and how great of an author John Green is. As I was scrolling through ALA.ORG, I found that Looking for Alaska won the Michael L. Printz Award in 2006. I felt that this was a sign that I should take the time to read this novel. Another literature piece that stood out to me was the 2015 winner of the Michael L. Printz Award, I’ll Give You The Sun. I plan on ordering I’ll Give You The Sun online very soon. I also found the audiobook for I’ll Give You The Sun on Youtube, which I found great and convenient! I plan on reading both these novels for my Goodreads reviews. Both these books seem to have such a great story behind them. When researching both authors, John Green and Jandy Nelson, I came across many peoples opinions on these authors. Almost every comment about both authors were positive.

I know that these books are YA books because both books won the Michael L. Printz Award. The is an award for a book that “exemplifies literary excellence in young adult literature.” However, just to double check I asked my local librarian about Looking for Alaska and was told it was definitely a YA book. Now, I just need to double check I’ll Give You The Sun.

I have already snooped around Goodreads. Before I picked my two books, I wanted to read what others thought of these books as well. I thought Goodreads was a great way to see how others viewed the books that were mentioned and if these books were worth sharing. Many reviews inspired me to read these two books, however, Looking for Alaska received such mixed reviews. Due to these mixed reviews, I have taken it upon myself to form my own
