The Laysan Albatross is an incredible creature, from being able to stay with one mate their entire life to having a ten-foot wingspan. People need to become aware that this unique bird is now endangered. Plastics are a big problem to the Albatross population. According to KHON2 News “State investigation albatross deaths in Kaena point reserve” it says “The deaths of the three Albatross and numerous destroyed nest in Kaena point.” Albatross are being killed by many human beings, and by destroying the albatross including their nest, the population would become extinct. Albatross live lives like many other human beings do, you can do your part by treating their nest with respect and stop harming the Albatross. On the other hand not only the albatross is going extinct there are other birds that are also endangered. In the article “ Nearly Every SeaBird On Earth Is Eating Plastic” Wilcox says, “Essentially seabirds are going extinct.” Albatross are not the only birds being endangered other seabirds are going down rapidly. The beautiful creature named the Albatross is not only a sight to see, but is endangered and people need to become mindful of this.
