Alfred Hitchcock: The Stage Setting In Rear Window

407 Words2 Pages
The stage setting in rear window I looked out form my window after watching the rear window, yet the curious peak of James Stewart caused a bit of stir within my conscious. I pulled my window down right after that thought. It wasn’t until that moment I realized how brilliant Alfred Hitchcock is. Most of the plot in this story was delivered thought the eyes of Jeffrey (played by James Stewart). Jeffrey broke his leg, therefore the only thing he can do is watching though the rear window. Telling a story with great suspension is hard, especially from a fixed point of view. However, Hitchcock enhanced such a great story with his skill of stage setting. In the movie, Jeffrey looks though windows, gets the information and pushes the story line forward.
