Personally, I think the film’s message is based in the idea of that women should have the same rights as men. Feminism, which is the theory of the political, economical, and social equality of women, is shown in the movie. Alice Paul and all the members of the National Woman 's Party, and also the National American Woman 's Suffrage Association, wanted political equality and to have the right to vote, in order to exercise their full citizenship. Men made all the decisions, because they were the only people holding positions of power, and even more, the only available to vote.
