Amanda’s Self-Care Plan In this assignment, I will write up a brief description of challenges I expects to face in the field placement experience. I will then create a self-care plan that fits the field agency, personal time constraints, personal strengths, and expected challenges of the field placement. Therefore, I will create a depth of insight and specificity of my self-care plan. Challenges One expected challenges for my field placement is having a support system at my time in Uganda. For example, a support system like friends and family. My friends and my family provide me support and encouragement. They are ultimately my support system and therefore in Uganda I will not have a support system near me. I am constantly asking questions, and I am eager to learn about new ideas, people, and other things. My strength is that I love learning about information, how to do something, or how to get out of my comfort zone. For example, I am constantly reading and asking questions about new ideas and books. I believe it is important to continue to be curious and interested about the God, world, and people. I do not like to be someone who thinks they know everything because it makes life more interesting when I view it as a mystery. I believe this area will impact my field placement because it will help me grow in my career and get me out of comfort zone to try new things. If I continue to learn new work-related skills, then I will be able to provide new knowledge, interventions, or services to improve my clients’ situations. Through learning, it will provide me new methods or ideas to prevent or improve clients’ well-being. I believe lifelong learning can also keep my brain healthy and active in my career and
