America should not allow self-driving cars/trucks on the road because they are not safe. While these self-driving cars/trucks are on the road anything can happen, wrecks can occur, and their system can be shut down anytime. Therefore, anything can happen to people while they are in these self-driving cars/trucks. Self-driving cars/trucks may go the speed limit, while others may want to go at a greater speed. The advance development of self-driving cars/trucks has a huge impact on America. Even though, self-driving cars/trucks can help many people with transportation issues, they are dangerous.

These self-driving cars/trucks should be under supervision always because wrecks can occur. America should not allow self-driving cars/trucks on the road because wrecks can occur at any time. According to Jeff Plungis “Driving Into the Future”, “Today’s self-driving cars are sometimes described like teenagers: relatively safe in limited situations, not nearly as safe as experienced human driver” (Plungis 14). Self-driving cars/trucks do not have the experience that humans do. They cannot function like human drivers; therefore, wrecks can occur on the road. While these self-driving cars/trucks are on the road, they are limited to many situations that will occur. Wrecks are one of those situations.
