A dream is a cherished goal that you want to achieve or succeed in the future. Dreams are ideas and thoughts that just sit in our minds, unless we work to make them come to life. When we work hard and put in the effort we need to make those dreams a reality. One dream we all share as US citizens today is the American Dream. Some people in our society today question if that dream is still achievable, if it is still alive. Just as you work hard to achieve your dream of being a doctor, or a famous soccer player, you have to put in the practice and the work to achieve that dream, the American Dream. Nothing is ever out of reach, you just have to take the right steps to reach your destination. You must have a strong spirit, the American spirit, to achieve the American Dream. You must have the grit and the passion to achieve your dream. No one has ever been rewarded for great things by waiting for those good things to come to them. Those who put their sweat, blood, and tears into the American Dream. Soldiers have fought, women have protested, and men have risked their lives so that we can obtain the American Dream for ourselves. In a recent article, “Long Live the American Dream” it states, “Americans have a grab-the-bull-by-its-horns quality so that they simply don’t hang around hoping for things to get better on their own.This American spirit, ultimately, is the biggest reason to believe that the American dream is and will stay alive in America,” (Dalmia). Those soldiers, women, and men saw the American Dream in their future, but they also knew they would have to work for it. Great things come to those who work for them. We live in the land of opportunity. America is a place where the American Dream flourishes in our everyday
