Values, beliefs, political ideas, and institutions in The Jungle and Fast Food Nation The leaders of Chicago’s meatpacking company and the leaders of many fast food chains today lack values, have orthodox political ideas, and do not follow proper code in their institutions. In society, since the beginning of time, businesses have existed.

Americans sometimes have conflicting values. A persistent debate centers the individual and society. Individuals create and shape the society around them. They intertwine and depend upon each other. Much like yin and yang, they create balance and affect each other yet this interdependence also leads to conflict.
In other words, Americans want money in life, and less focus is on the quality of life. I have seen a real example of materialism, my uncle who was very much intended for making money that today he is alone and has no one to share his success. The America is an individualistic society from teenagers to adults; everyone is living their life in making money and getting wealthier, and no one emphasized on having a family, social life or friends. From my uncle’s example, I learned a lesson that money is not everything, today he is alone, wandering in a big house and no one to share his feeling, money is a key but most important is family and your
Loyalty, respect, self-less service and integrity are the values that map the life that I lead. When in consideration of
America’s society has some distinctive characteristics that separate it from that of the rest of the world. Although diverse, the American society is unified in the number of traits that they all share. All American citizens value their individuality as well as their equality. Americans are not afraid to voice their opinions or to oppose something that they disagree with. If there is something that is not right, Americans will not hesitate to work towards positive change of that cause.
To be an american you must act live as an american, so be free, strong, and courageous. Being american is best understood by the way of life as an American. Since the birth of america, Americans have fought for what they thought was right and to fulfill a dream or their manifest destiny. From the start of America we acted on the human rights and set ourselves free and formed the idea of freedom and strength in America. With the Amendments established our freedoms like the first amendment Freedom of expression which states “the First Amendment means that government has no power to restrict expression because of its message, its ideas, its subject matter, or its content” as said by Thurgood Marshall.
I believe that a good American should have integrity and authenticity and remain true to themselves. They should have self control and common sense so they can properly obey the law. Strength and bravery are essential in American because we need to work for our freedom. A good American should always put their best foot forward and show great effort in all they do. Love, Kindness, and tolerance are important qualities because we need peace among the nation.
In the coca- cola “American the beautiful” commercial, the director use different rhetorical features to bring attention to nature, religion and different age groups in order to persuade an audience that one sip of Coca-Cola helps one image why they feel America is
Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Being American to me means the ability to pursue happiness, an education, an income, and any of my dreams. Being able to live in a country that you can do anything that you set your mind to do and not having a dictator ruling the citizens. By being apart of this nation you are fortunate enough to have and make your own choices in life. Two main symbols that most people can immediately name when they think of the U.S. is the bald eagle and the American flag.
Selling Patriotism What is the first thought that comes to mind when you notice an American flag? Most people think of patriotic things, such as freedom, strength, and equality, but what about materialism? Advertisements often use patriotic symbols to make their product seem all American. Even though this is the main strategy used to advertise Miss Me clothes, there are other subconscious ploys in place to draw in consumers.
During the 1840’s, America saw the greatest proportional influx of immigrants in the U.S. history. Many hordes of Europeans boarded ships to seek opportunity in the United States because of political unrest and religious persecution. The German and Irish were two of the main of the main groups that fled across the Atlantic Ocean and settled in American soil. Immigration has continuously had a huge impact in United States and has been vital to our society. Even though the Germans and Irish migrated almost at the same time, both had differences and similarities in the aspects of motives for leaving Europe, settlement in the U.S., assimilation, religion and how they contributed to a growing American culture.
The values that are the most important to individualism are rule of law, and self interest. Though I am still growing in my values and beliefs as a male citizen in Canada I believe that rule of law is the most important to individualism because everyone is equal in the eyes of the law. Way back a long time ago people were ranked based on who their parents were. A good example of that would be the feudal system or the term we would call feudalism. The feudal system is a ranking system that has the King/Queen on the top and the peasants at the bottom.
One of the hardest fought for attributes of a brand is knowing that customers consider that the brand has value. We learned in our lesson that perceived value is a key attribute towards selling a brand. Writing a value proposition and keeping it current could help these business leaders to determine and clarify the unique characteristics their business will need to identify to better market their brand. In this paper, I desire to convey what a value proposition is and how it can help leaders chart a successful course through changing times.
