Disagreements brought among two can greatly cause an uncertain effect on those surrounded by them, as well as each other. Innocent minded children are targeted to be easily influenced. Everyone needs help in their life at some point in time. A person who helps another out is a mentor. A mentor tries to do all they can to help others out. Living on the streets of Juarez is not an easy life. Manny Bustos is a homeless boy that’s 14 and lives on the streets of Mexico. Manny's parents abandoned him when he was a baby. In Bucknell University’s production of Marisol by Jose Rivera, one of the central themes is chaos and the effects of chaos. This theme of chaos is in part seen through the inconsistent timeline of the play. Chaos is also seen through the development of the main characters Marisol, June, and Lenny. Jose Rivera’s purpose in writing about chaos is to parallel the real life experiences of so many people before and even now that live the lives of his characters in Marisol. Young Pedro’s immaturity is evident in his opinion of his birthday gift. “On his birthday, they gave Pedro a soccer ball. Pedro complained, because he wanted one made out of white leather with black patches, just like the ones the professionals use” (Mazer 95) Though his parents tried to fulfill his wish for a soccer ball, he was not satiated by the lower-quality version. Pedro, much like many other children his age, was too immature to be grateful that his parents tried to make him happy. Because of his immaturity, he could not realize that his family wasn’t in a position economically to purchase a high quality soccer ball for him, though they may have wanted to.
Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, a self-taught philosopher, poet and forward thinker, wrote many empowering poems that captured how she felt during the time she was living in. Two of which “Foolish Men” and “On her Portrait” express how she didn’t like the stereotypical roles women were put in during her life. These poems show true anguish and express a slight distain for men. In the poem “Foolish Men” Cruz starts off by explaining how men are so quick to blame women for their ailments but in actuality it is themselves causing them.

Forgiveness is the action or process of forgiving or being forgiven. (Hawkins, 1994, P. 206) My personal understanding of the parable ‘The Prodigal Son” is that it portrays the importance of reasoning and forgiveness. The main characters in the parable are two sons and a betrayed father. The father remains constant throughout the parable, although he has being betrayed by his younger son.
