The history of the Amistad had a positive impact to many countries around the world, due to the struggling experiences which slavery caused. According to the article History of Federal Judiciary (2016), “Amistad was one of the most famous stories of the 19th century, which took place in West Africa” because of the amount of coverage the investigation received, which made “many other countries impacted by the importance of the story due of the decision made within the rebellion and the outcome of the testimony”. Throughout history, starting around 175 years ago, an article written by Jesse Greenspan, The Amistad slave rebellion (2014) stated “the enslaved Africans freed themselves from the barracks, where the slaves have been stripped naked by the Spanish commanders …show more content…

The other slaves had been captured in warfare, and taken as debt, for repayments of punished for such crimes as adultery. As time passed within the cell, the world only got worse, due to the dehydration and dysentery, and several Africans ended up dying. Upon the actions on the ship, and slavery, the British Slave trade was abolished in 1807, as well in The United States, and all other major slave destinations in North and South America(Greenspan, 2014). Throughout the Amistad case, many important movements changed the ways how people felt about freedom, because most the Africans from Sierra Leone have been kidnapped by the spaniards, and other countries looked into the real meaning of freedom because of the limited rights the slaves had. During the
