The Killer Of The Killer Very few people have been hated by the American people as much as Lee Harvey Oswald. The hatred for Lee Harvey Oswald rivals that of people like Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin. Lee Harvey Oswald’s actions surprised not just Texas, but the whole country. Very few things have surprised the American people as much as John F. Kennedy’s assassination. Following the president's assassination another shocking murder took place. The murder of Lee Harvey Oswald. This second murder was captured by surprised and amazed reporters. Unbeknownst to these reporters they had captured what would become one of the most iconic pictures in American history. The image of Jack Ruby exacting his revenge upon Lee Harvey Oswald contains a wide range of emotions, and unsurprisingly the main one is shock.
The first example of this surprise on the face of the man in the white suit. At first sign of surprise this man shows is his posture. The man’s upper body is pulled back at a diagonal angle, while his lower body is further ahead. That person is Lee Harvey Oswald, his face previously was emotionless mask. After the crack of Jack’s gun though, Lee’s face became a mixture of agony and shock. His gaping mouth reveals the mix of emotions that Lee was experiencing. These emotions were clearly horror, shock, and pain. Lee also shows another sign of surprise, and that is the position of his arm. He has his arm defensively pulled across his chest, meanwhile his other arm is thrust out in front of him. Look at his palm and you will notice his hand is completely open and very loose, lacking any tension.
