Rebellion, unprofessionalism, gangs, violence, and crime – this is what you probably associate tattoos with. It’s a form of body art which has been gaining a wider appearance in the public - think Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, and Ed Sheeran. This photo series documents and tells the stories of 10 tattooed Amsterdam University College (AUC) students, exploring why they have chosen to be permanently inked on their body.
