4.8 Is Christianity Hard or Easy?
The author makes it clear in this chapter that the quintessence of Christianity is the idea of "putting on Christ"; it is about becoming a real Son of God. Therefore, we start with our where we are and begin to make changes according to what we know and understand about morality or decent behavior. But after those changes, we want to continue to meet the demands of the natural self. As we proceed, however, we discover that it is too difficult to meet the demands of two conflicting personalities.
