The novella Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck is a realistic fiction story about Two men and their journey to find work and achieve their dream of owning a farm. In the first chapter, the reader meets the two main characters, two friends Lennie and George. The two are on the run from some troubles that Lennie accidentally caused back in Weed. The two decide to set up camp by the Salinas river for the night on their way to their new job which is four miles away. One of the main characters is George; he is the smarter one of the two.
