Lennie also could’ve run away and lived in a cave, where he would die a slow death of starvation. George didn’t want Lennie to suffer, and killing him in the least painful way was the best option. It’s usually not morally right to kill another human being, but sometimes it can be the only or best option. Killing someone can be the only or best option if killing them would give them the least amount of pain when they died. In Of Mice and Men killing Lennie was George’s the best choice for himself, Lennie, and every other person, because Lennie could have hurt other people.
I believe George should have killed Lennie because he has hurt people, can’t control himself, and would have probably ended up in a horrible mental institution anyway. Despite Lennie’s seemingly innocent nature, he hurts many people and animals throughout the story. He would pet mice and break their tiny bodies. He had a puppy and killed it for trying to bite him.
In Mice of Men by John Steinbeck, George should have killed Lennie. Lennie should have been killed because he had broke Curley’s hand, killed a puppy, and killed a woman. Lennie was becoming a threat. "If I was alone I could live so easy." His voice was monotonous, had no emphasis.

I think George was right to kill Lennie for numerous reasons. One of them being that George couldn’t just let Lennie go escape by himself because Lennie would die if he did. Also, Lennie was a dangerous individual and needed to be terminated before he caused more problems. Lastly George was right to kill Lennie because it was an act of mercy.

Justified Murder in Of Mice and Men George was doing the right thing by killing Lennie. Lennie was going to be punished for what he had done and George was giving him the fastest, least painful way out. What John Steinbeck was trying to prove in Of Mice and Men is that true friendship is about looking out for each other and putting each others needs before your own and doing what's best for them even if it is hard on you. Lennie’s shooting was only justified because George did it for the right reasons. Lennie keeps getting into trouble, no matter where they go, and George know’s they cannot run forever and sooner or later Lennie will be caught and have to deal with the consequences of his actions.

The tough choices start from the beginning, where Lennie and George move, to the end where a surprising ending occurs. George is left with a tough choice to kill Lennie or save the person who was there for him through everything. Although some may say it was okay to kill Lennie, George’s choice to end Lennie’s life is unacceptable because how can you end the person’s life who has been there for you from the beginning to the end.
So, though killing Lennie may be best for the public's safety, it can also be viewed as a positive for the fearful Lennie. Killing Lennie would send him to the only place that George knows he will be truly happy, in heaven, living his American dream. Overall, Lennie has proved himself time and time again to be an outright criminal, and peacefully killing him would easily terminate him as a threat. Some people might think in the opposite side that George should not killed Lennie because Lennie did not mean to anything. He has done it without knowing how strong of himself. Lennie made many troubles this might be because of his disability, but this is the reason that he deserves to live. He has done many thing that make George get into trouble and It is better if Lennie has to die because of George shoot him not the other. Was what george did to lennie acceptable There was a time when i had to step away from a friendship because it became toxic for my own well being. I had to make a decision that would benefit me. I had no other option but to end the friendship Just like george had to figure out what the best thing was for lennie and in the end killing him was the best and only option. That means he could have helped continue to bring in money towards the farm they dreamed about operating someday.

However, in the book Of Mice and Men two best friends named George and Lennie were faced with great adversity that challenged their friendship. Lennie who was a mentally retarded and George who was mentally stable were companions and close friends. With this being said, because of Lennie’s mental retardedness and extreme strength he did not know he had, Lennie made bad choices without really knowing what he was doing. When push came to shove, George had to make the decision to kill his best friend.
