The book Sunrise Over Fallujah by Walter Dean Myers is about a young man named Birdy that is serving in the Iraq War as part of one of the Civil Affairs units. Overall Sunrise Over Fallujah was an accurate representation of the Civil Affairs units, what they did in the Iraq War, and certain challenges that they faced.
