Jeremy Rifkin, the president of the Foundation on Economic Trends in Washington D.C and author of “A Change of Heart About Animals” (2003), argues in this article that animals are much more like humans than we thought and that we should expand our empathy to our fellow creatures. Rifkin develops his thesis by comparing the similarities between humans and animals. An example of this is in paragraph 11 when he claims that animals show a sense of their own mortality and the mortality of their kin just like humans do. He supports this claim by giving an example of elephants standing next to their dead children for days after they have passed. The author gives that example of the elephants in order to make the reader understands just how aware these
In Clive Thompson’s essay, “Smarter Than You Think”, he argues that computers and search engines such as Google actually improve our memory and therefore our ability to analyze information. Thompson bases his theory on the concept of Transactive memory, a social system in which information is shared collectively in a group, with different people assigned key pieces of that information to remember. In Thompson’s opinion, the internet has become that “collective memory” for the people that use it, storing and dispensing knowledge and details more efficiently and accurately than any human could. Though he admits that when humans store information on a computer we’re less likely to personally recall it, he persists that historically human beings
People should be more involved with animals. Humans should be more involved with animals much more than they already are. In the story “Are Zooz Bad News” one particul tiger had enough, this tiger attacked some humans, because they were taunting her. The tiger was obviously not in a mentally good condition. This was probably because they had not had much human interaction for a while.

Transition statement: Well, That is what happens in this scary story… Background Information: It is the beginning of the winter and the birds are starting to act a little strange. In the long run, killing these animals will only result in endangerment of the species. I don’t see the wrong with hunting for food and/or hunting for survival. However, hunting to control population or simply for bragging rights, is what I considered
It's good for the species, if animals aren’t hunted they’ll die of starvation or disease when that food could have been used for meat on the table. It saves money by allowing you to harvest a animal and get about fifty pounds of meat, then buying that meat at the store. It’s also good for your family, hunting teaches the children, one of the greatest life lessons you can teach. There are a few better ways to spend quality time with your family than to take them away from their computer or tv and show them where their food comes from. Hunting is a sport, it challenges your brain and helps you vision when looking for movement.
Hunting is defined as the act of killing or taking down a creature. Killing is a synonym of murdering, and murdering is a crime. Some may say that hunting can provide food, which is a necessity for humans, or that is one way for them to make money. Despite these facts, some people are selfish enough to exceed their wants and hunt down animals for pleasure. That is why, sport hunting should be made illegal because hunting destroys animals ’wildlife habitats and hunting contributes to their extinction.
Hunting has been a part of our society since the first man set foot on this continent, but animal rights movements have become popular in our society recently that has questioned the necessity of hunting in our modern times. Because of this, animal populations are left freely to where they can multiply at an alarming rate. Hunting is a great means of controlling animal populations’ growth, although greatly opposed by many. While hunting is a very controversial topic in our society, there are great points for being for and against it. Hunting is a way that humans see to keep balance of the ecosystem.
Many of the animals tried to take advantage of this situation by siding with the animals with more power. By showing the
Eating meat is beneficial to humanity, because they provide nourishment that cannot be obtained from other sources. Without the support of animals, humans lack a distinctive diet, that is essential to their well-being. However, since animals are so important to the diet, they deserve great care and respect as well. Humans were always hunters and gathers. They always knew that meat was a big source of protein that helped keep them going(Araki).
He claims that the science is imperfect due to its defect of leaving out feelings. The author first discusses the descriptions of human in the scientific approach that humans are “merely a machine to be explained in terms of neurons and nervous impulses, heredity and environments and reactions to outside stimuli”. Consequently, however, he incorporated rhetorical question, “who is there who does not believe that there is more to man that that?”, provoking the empathy that humans are indeed much more valuable beings that such simplistic explanation. He attempts use this created empathy and apply this concept to the animals as well. This encouraged the readers to approach this matter not with the heads, but with hearts, changing the perception of animals not as a mere inferior creature, but as a being of intellect and feelings as humans.
Killing Animals In the present, the world has changed in many sides. One of changing is numbers of killing animals are increasing continuous. Many people think what are reasons for this acting?
