The members of the family may not have any particular talents that individualise them as performers, but their docu-soap still allows them to project themselves as talented individuals. It is fair to conclude that this fame the family holds is mainly due to the docu-soap’s success along with E!’s objectives as a channel. An advantage the channel brings to the famous family is that not only do fans feel connected to the family, but the family is able to relatively control what is leaked about them in the media, since they directly communicate to the media. It is vital that the underlying meanings behind a show that is very popularly consumed to have some sort analysis based on it.
