When it comes to sports, you can either use mental agility or physical prowess. For me when I think about sports I think about using your brain. I believe this because when you participate in sports you have to be able to remember your steps and plans to play. It’s also important to have good physical abilities. This varies depending on which sport you are discussing. If you are talking about running then you may want to focus more on physical things such as speed, and in football physical aspects are a bit more important because being strong is a big part of it. It shows you how your mind plays a big role in football. In this story, Jets football player Dwight Lowery has to put a lot of thought into his big touchdown where he “breaks toward the ball, intercepts it, and dashes twenty-six yards into the end zone.” ( Sannah 59) Another way this story shows you how important mental agility is, would be by the deciphering of thoughts. According to Sanneh, “There are a few situations in football where scoring an easy touchdown is the wrong thing to do.” This would be where Dwight Lowery would have to quickly put a lot of thought into deciding what to do. With a sport such as football, it’s almost as if the fans are playing too. This is because they get so into it that they feel like they’re a part of it, and they act as if they’re the ones who have to make all the big decisions. When you run you have to use your mind to know why it is that you’re doing it. Like in the story “Why We Run”, the author describes how running is like chasing a dream.
