“Zebra” by, Chaim Potok is an exciting story. Adam who has a deep love for running. Adam cant even recall exactly why his name was Zebra. Zebra is a boy who has had major consequences with running and this affects his running career for ever. Adam gets hit by a car running around foreign places in his city. He sprints too fast down a hill and ran into a very busy street which causes him to get hit by a car. “Zebra” aka Adam was on a hurry around the city and was running down a foreign trial that his mother warned him multiple times never ever go down to fast that you can 't stop at the bottom. Adam was just like any other kid but badly injured, his family checked up on him to the doctors every once and awhile. The doctor said the brace might be able to come off in a year or two but no running still. Adans hand would still hurt from time to time, which he still wears a sling on but the dreadful incident was about a year ago, the doctors did not know why his hand still hurt and they can not find a cure for the hand without knowing what the problem is. Zebra could not play in any games and he would watch games and one of the day 's Zebra watched he saw a man and a man saw him. A man was walking down the street but Zebra was curious about him so he watched as the man walked right to zebra. Zebra observed the man but the man blurted a hello out of nowhere, Zebra was cautious if he should talk to him. The two strangers started talking “what kind of school is this” the man asked “a good one” Zebra told the man back, as the man just wanted to set up an art class. Later in the summer Mr. John Wilson gets an art class and asks people if they would like to join, It now came up to Zebra for his answer. Zebra was unable to go because of his summer camp he had been planning to go on. Zebra realizes there is still good in life that he can enjoy besides running so he gives Mr John a try and finds out he was a vietnam veteran who lost his arm. Mr John teaches zebra how to do art with his injured body parts which slowly grows strength into his injured
