I read the book True Legend by Mike Lupica. To keep a book alive and interesting authors use three different character types. Those character types are static, dynamic, and stereotype. Mike Lupica did a very good job at keeping the reader focused. Drew was the dynamic character because he had some important decisions that had a big impact on what would happen. The "Ghost" man is a static character because he has the same personality at the beginning and the end. Mr. Gilbert is a stereotypical character. He is stereotypical because he has a lot of money and he invests in a kid that will make it very far in life and buys him whatever he wants. He knows it will get him a lot of money in the future.
Drew is the dynamic character. He is dynamic because he goes through some important decisions that involve school and basketball. Mr. Gilbert wanted to be his bodyguard and give Drew whatever he wanted. Drew began to believe his own hype. Drew and Oliver took Mr. Gilbert's awesome sports car for a spin. Neither one of them had a license. They were going way over the speed limit. A cop started to chase them and while they were trying to outrun the cop they almost hit another car. This happened right around the championship, and both of those kids are two of the best players on the team. After this event especially Drew

Drew went to the park and saw this tall man hooping. Drew watched him and the man just kept making shots and then when Drew went up to the man he ran away. Drew thought it was strange that this man acted like that. Drew kept going back but the man would not talk to him. Drew then finally got to talk to this ghost man. Drew found out that this man could have gone to the NBA and played but made some bad decisions that messed it up. That was all Drew got out of him so I see the "ghost" man as pretty static because he stays at the same personality the whole
